This research raises the title Crisis of Regeneration of Young Farmers in Karang Anyar Village, Gunung Maligas District. In the research, the author wants to describe the case of the young farmer regeneration crisis in Karang Anyar village by exploring youth perceptions about types of work, factors considered by youth in choosing a job, and the reasons why youth do not like the farming profession from internal and external factors. The regeneration crisis for young farmers is the phenomenon of decreasing employment among young people in the agricultural sector. The crisis of young farmers in Karang Anyar village can be seen based on SIMLUHTAN data which states that the number of young farmers under 39 years of age is only 39 out of 476 total farmers. In this research, the research method used is qualitative research with a case study type of research. There are two types of data collection techniques, namely primary and secondary. Primary data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation methods. Meanwhile, secondary data collection techniques use the library study method. The research results show that young people are reluctant to be interested in choosing the agricultural sector as their job opportunity, whereas young people are more interested in working outside of agriculture. The reason is because young people want a type of work that is oriented towards high social status, working in a comfortable place, and having a clear and guaranteed income. This is different if young people choose to work in the agricultural sector, where agricultural results are uncertain because they depend on harvest yields. Apart from that, farmers' income also depends on the limited area of land they own, the many obstacles in the world of agriculture, and working in dirty, hot and tiring places. Making young people less interested in choosing to work in the agricultural sector. Apart from that, the lack of support from the family environment and the absence of incentive programs provided are the causes of the decreasing interest of young people in agriculture. So there is a regeneration crisis for young farmers in Karang Anyar village.en_US
