dc.description.abstract | Solidarity is a feeling that fosters a sense of unity, cohesiveness aimed at mutual support and mutual trust that occurs within a social group or community. The Medan city CISC community is a social group that has strong solidarity. This research aims to determine the forms of social solidarity that occur within the regional CISC community in the city of Medan and what kind of social activities are carried out by the Medan Regional CISC community to strengthen the sense of social solidarity between its members. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of this research show that there are two forms of solidarity that occur within the CISC community in the city of Medan, namely mechanical and organic. This can be seen from the characteristics of mechanical solidarity that exist within the Medan city CISC community, such as the strong sense of togetherness they build, the growing awareness of mutual help, and the high level of collective awareness among its members. Likewise, the characteristics of organic solidarity found in the CISC community in the city of Medan are that there is a community structure that they have built so that there is a division of labor for each member in an effort to carry out the activities they have created. where in this division of labor there is interdependence between members and requires them to work together with each other which shows that this is a characteristic of organic solidarity. There are many things that the Medan city CISC community does to create strong solidarity between its members, one of which is the activities they carry out which have a positive impact both on their fellow members and on the community. | en_US |
