Pengaruh Pemberian Pupuk Hayati dan Pupuk Za terhadap Pertumbuhan dan Produksi Tanaman Bawang Merah (Allium ascalonicum L.)
The Effect of Providing Biological Fertilizer and Za Fertilizer on the Growth and Production of Shallot Plants (Allium ascalonicum L.)
Abstract
Shallots are plants that have high economic value and have good market prospects. Using biological fertilizer containing N-fixing bacteria enhancers is expected to reduce the use of nitrogen fertilizer. ZA fertilizer can expected to increase the production of shallot plants qualities such as aroma, bulbs that do not rot quickly, and not experiencing much shrinkage in the wet weight of the bulbs. This research aims to study the effect of providing biological fertilizer and ZA fertilizer on the growth and production of shallot plants. This research was carried out on the grounds of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan, Sumatra Utara with an altitude of ± 27 meters above sea level. This research was carried out from May to August 2023. Using a Randomized Block Design consisting of 3 replications and 2 treatment factors. The first factor is biological fertilizer: 0 ton/ha, 1 ton/ha and 2 tons/ha. Second factor of ZA Fertilizer: 0 kg/ha, 125 kg/ha, 250 kg/ha and 375 kg/ha. Based on the results of research conducted, it shows that biological fertilizers have a significant effect to increase the length of plants aged 2, 4 and 6 weeks after planting, the number of leaves aged 4 weeks after planting, the number of tillers aged 5 weeks after planting, the wet weight of tubers, the oven dry weight of roots at planting and Oven dry weight of plant crown. ZA fertilizer had a significant effect on plant length 7 weeks after planting. The interaction of biological fertilizer and ZA fertilizer has not significant effect on all parameters and has not been reduced the use of inorganic fertilizers.
