Interaksi Pembelajaran Online di Pandemi Covid-19 pada Mahasiswa FISIP USU
Abstract
Education in Indonesia is experiencing changes due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Changes that are not planned and socialized change all educational activities, learning processes which are usually carried out in clear physical spaces such as educational institutions and meet face to face. However, during the Covid-19 pandemic, the learning process changed towards a virtual space that does not recognize boundaries of space, distance or even time (flexible), this condition brought changes to interactions between USU FISIP students during online learning. In this research, Erving Goffman's Dramaturgy theory is used to see the roles played by students when doing online learning. The method used is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, the data collection techniques used are observation, documentation and in-depth interviews with informants. . The results of the analysis in this research show that the interaction of USU FISIP students is influenced by everything done on social media such as WhatsApp and the interaction of USU FISIP students only exchanges messages with friends when they have needs and group assignments, USU FISIP students also use the internet to be able to play roles when they are busy. online learning, such as permission to turn off the camera due to signal interference and installing an avatar to be able to carry out other activities. FISIP students also when studying online do not place too much importance on their image as students who look neat, students more often wear casual clothes when studying online, this is because they are not physically present in the educational institution environment so there are no roles and demands from the institution. education must maintain its image in front of society.
