Pengelolaan Asuhan Keperawatan Resiko Hiperkolesterolemia dengan Metode Skrining pada Wanita Usia Subur (WUS) di Kecamatan Medan Selayang
Abstract
Background: Hypercholesterolemia is a condition of high cholesterol levels in a person's blood. Hypercholesterolemia occurs due to the accumulation of cholesterol and lipids in the walls of blood vessels, LDL is oxidized and forms atherosclerotic plaques. the world's population has a total cholesterol level of
>200 mg/dl which is quite high and developing countries such as Indonesia will experience an increase of 137%, while in developed countries it is only 48%. Purpose: To see an overview of the risk of hypercholesterolemia in women of childbearing age in Medan Selayang District. The method: by screening and examining total cholesterol levels in the blood and providing education related to early prevention of hypercholesterolemia. Results: Examination of total cholesterol levels in the blood of 5 women of childbearing age in Medan Selayang sub-district who had normal cholesterol levels of 2 people, who had cholesterol levels within high limits of 3 people. Conclusion: Therefore it is necessary to provide education as an effort to prevent early hypercholesterolemia.
