Pengelolaan Asuhan Keperawatan pada Klien Diabetes Mellitus dengan Penerapan Senam Kaki Diabetik untuk Mencegah Terjadinya Komplikasi di Kelurahan Tanjung Rejo

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by hyperglycemia resulting from defects in insulin secretion, insulin action or both. Diabetic foot exercise is one of the management of diabetes mellitus which includes physical exercise where the management of diabetes mellitus consists of medical nutritional therapy, education pharmacology, and physical exercise. The purpose of this senior practicum is to apply the concept of nursing care to diabetes mellitus patients with diabetic foot exercise therapy in the Tanjung Rejo Village. The implementation of this senior practicum started from 03 July to 28 July 2023 which involved 3 diabetes mellitus patients with nursing problems of unstable blood glucose levels related to hyperglycemia. The implementation was carried out for 3 meetings by providing diabetic foot exercise therapy. The evaluation results obtained from this senior practicum were that the symptoms of numbness and dizziness felt by the three respondents were reduced and the respondents felt comfortable with the foot exercise therapy given.
