dc.description.abstract | Aging is a natural process that must be experienced in one's life, individuals will experience physical, cognitive, mental, spiritual, and psychosocial decline. One of the problems that often occur in the elderly regarding psychology is body image disturbance. Disturbed body image is a condition where the mindset of the elderly towards their body is not in accordance with the wishes due to changes in body shape or function. The implementation of nursing care is carried out using the NANDA, NOC, and NIC approaches which can streamline the work of nurses. The diagnosis that can be made for body image disturbance is the first: body image disturbance, the result is body image (1200), the second diagnosis is hopelessness, the result is hope or psychomotor energy (1201), and the third diagnosis is risk of situational low self-esteem, the result are self-esteem (1205) and self-awareness (1215). The NIC interventions given for the diagnosis of body image disorders were increasing body image (5220) and increasing self-esteem (5400), the second diagnostic intervention was managing feelings (5330), inspiring hope (5310) while the intervention for the third diagnosis was increasing self-esteem (5400), as for the diagnostic intervention RC: Acute Urinary Retention is an act of monitoring, educating and minimizing the side effects of giving therapy. | en_US |
