    Abstract
    Gastroenteritis is defined as inflammation of the mucous membranes of the stomach and small intestine. Acute gastroenteritis is characterized by diarrhea and in some cases vomiting which results in loss of fluids and electrolytes which can lead to dehydration and electrolyte imbalance. Gastroenteritis caused by Rotavirus is more common at the age of 6-12 months. The purpose of this study was to apply the concept of nursing care to children with gastroenteritis. The methodology is the management of nursing care starting from conducting assessments, conducting data analysis, formulating diagnoses, prioritizing nursing problems, compiling interventions, implementing interventions, and conducting nursing evaluations. From the results of the study, it was found that An. E has a fever, An. E has diarrhea, An.E has nausea and vomiting. The first diagnosis obtained from the results of the study was hypovolemia associated with an infectious process. The second diagnosis of diarrhea is related to an infectious process. The third diagnosis of hyperthermia is related to an infectious process. The implementation carried out was monitoring vital sign, giving oral fluids, recommending increasing fluid intake, collaborating the administration of intravenous fluids and antipyretic drugs. After implementation, the results of nausea and vomiting were reduced, the frequency of defecation was normal, and the child's body temperature was within normal limits. recommend increasing fluid intake, collaborating administration of intravenous fluids and antipyretic drugs.
