Pengelolaan Asuhan Keperawatan Klien dengan Harga Diri Rendah Situasional pada Pasien Amputasi di Kelurahan Mangga

Abstract

Amputation is an action performed in the condition of last resort when organ problems that occur in the extremities are beyond repair using other techniques, or if the condition of the organs can endanger the safety of the patient's whole body or damage other organs such as infection complications. The incidence of lower extremity amputation has a high prevalence in accidents, which is around 40%. Previous research stated that there is a relationship between physical appearance and the occurrence of situational low self-esteem in clients. The purpose of this senior practicum is to apply the concept of nursing care, especially to patients with situational low self-esteem and to manage cases in patients with situational low self-esteem in the mangga village area. Implementation of senior practicum from 03 July to 29 July 2023 and the management of this case starts from a nursing assessment-evaluation. This senior practice involved one amputee patient with nursing problems of situational low self-esteem and physical mobility barriers. The implementation of nursing implementation was carried out in 3 meetings with interventions. The implementation of Kegel exercises has a good impact on clients to strengthen the pelvic muscles and to overcome urinary incontinence.
