dc.description.abstract | The research was located in three lake ecosystems in Pinang City, South
Labuhanbatu Regency, North Sumatra Province regarding plant identification and
diversity. There are three lake ecosystems that were formed naturally and
artificially, namely the result of dredging and clearing oil palm land in Pinang City,
including Lake Pagaran Padang, Lake Samma , and Buaya Lake. These three lakes
are still used by the local community for various activities including fishing and so
on. These three lakes are filled with various types of aquatic plants and riparian
plants that grow abundantly and almost cover the entire body of water. This
research is expected to be able to provide information regarding the condition of
aquatic plant vegetation in the lake water ecosystem in Pinang City as well as the
relationship between aquatic plant diversity and water quality in this ecosystem.
Based on the results of research that has been carried out, 17 plant species were
found at the three lake stations which were divided into 2 categories, namely 6
species of aquatic plants and 11 species of riparian plants. At station 1, 3 species
of aquatic plants and 8 species of riparian plants were found, at station 2, 5 species
of aquatic plants and 9 species of riparian plants were found, while at station 3, 4
species of aquatic plants and 4 species of riparian plants were found. | en_US |
