dc.description.abstractThe aim of this research is to analyze cassava production costs, determine the income and income of cassava farmers, analyze the feasibility of cassava farming, identify internal and external factors that exist in cassava farming, and formulate strategies for increasing cassava farming income that can be implemented in the research area. The research area was determined purposively or intentionally, while the method used for sampling in this study was Simple Random Sampling using the Slovin formula with a total sample of 53 people. The analytical method for analyzing farming income is carried out using income analysis and farming feasibility, and SWOT analysis to identify and determine strategies that will be used to increase the income of cassava farmers. The research results show that the average production cost used by farmers is IDR 22,474,264/planting season. The average income earned by farmers is IDR 49,687,925/planting season and the average income earned by farmers is IDR 27,213,660/planting season. If calculated per month, the average income earned by farmers is IDR 2,267,805 /month. The income of cassava farmers in the research area is still below the minimum wage for Serdang Bedagai Regency in 2023. However, cassava farming in the research area is still suitable for cultivation and development, in accordance with the R/C Ratio eligibility criteria, namely if R/C > 1 then the cassava farming business wood is suitable for cultivation, while the average R/C obtained in cassava farming in the research area is 2. The strategy obtained to increase the income of cassava farming in Paya Pinang Village, Tebing Syahbandar District, Serdang Bedagai Regency is appropriate is a Diversification Strategy. Strategies that can be implemented to increase farmer income are; 1.) Utilizing farming experience to find more effective and efficient ways to deal with weed attacks, 2.) Utilizing farming experience to find more effective and efficient ways to save on the use of nonsubsidized fertilizers, but still get harvests the maximum even with saved fertilizer rates.en_US
