Perineal wound is defined as a tear in the uterine birth canal or due to an episiotomy during the delivery of the fetus. Perineal tears occur in almost all mothers with the first birth and not infrequently also occur in subsequent deliveries. Treatment is closely related to perineal wound healing because the more wound care is given, the faster the perineal wound will heal. The role of health workers here is very important in the care of perineal wounds to provide good and correct methods and care for perineal wounds so that infection does not occur. Health workers are required to provide maximum health services in a comprehensive, continuous (continuity of care), thorough and patient manner while screening perineal wounds. To screen perineal wound healing, health workers generally use the REEDA scale as a monitoring tool. Along with the development of technology, a perineal wound drawing application has been researched in a program that can provide more efficient and effective image results and health services. After discussions and questions and answers with health workers or midwives at UPT. Pantai Cermin Health Center, officers were given continuity of care questionnaires on perineal wound screening and it was found that there were significant differences between the use of the REEDA Scale and perineal wound digital image screening using MATLAB in perineal wound screening.
