    Abstract
    Background. Gloves function as personal protective equipment to protect the wearer's hands from the hazards of the work environment, so the gloves worn must be comfortable to avoid work accidents. That is by using gloves that are not loose and not tight. Objective. Knowing the morphometric description of the hands of the Faculty of Medicine Class of 2020, University of North Sumatra associated with the size of the available handscoon. Methods. This study is an analytical descriptive study with a cross sectional design using a digital electronic caliper and ruler as a hand morphometry measurement tool with a conservative sampling method. Results. Total respondents were 157 people who used S-sized Handscoon, namely 59 people (37.6%) Handscoon size L, namely 39 people (24.8%), M, namely 37 people (23.6%), and XL size, namely 22 people (14.0%), based on multivariate analysis shows that there is a significant relationship between gender, weight, height to the size of the 5th finger width, 5th finger length, hand width and hand length associated with handscoon size. Then there is no significant relationship between ethnicity and age on the size of the 5th finger width, 5th finger length, hand width and hand length associated with the size of the handscoon. Conclusion Faculty of Medicine, University of North Sumatra class of 2020 students use the most handscoons in size S, namely 59 people (37.6%) then gender, weight and height have a significant correlation with measurements associated with handscoon size, while ethnicity and age do not have a significant correlation with measurements associated with handscoon size.
