dc.description.abstract | This study aims to determine the effect of feeding binahong leaf flour on
broiler performance, namely body weight gain, feed conversion and feed
consumption in Salmonella Sp. This research was conducted in July - August in
the Livestock Biology Laboratory cage, University North Sumatra. The research
design used in this study was RAL (Completely Randomized Design) with 5
treatments and 4 replicates. The study used 100 DOC. The treatments consisted of
P0 = Control (No Infection), P1 = Positive Control (No Antibiotic + Salmonella
Sp 0.4 ml Infection), P2 = Positive Control (Commercial Antibiotic + Salmonella
Sp 0.4 ml Infection), P3 = Positive Control (7.5 gr Binahong Leaf Powder/kg
Ration + Salmonella Sp 0.4 ml Infection), P4 = Positive Control (15 gr Binahong
Leaf Powder/kg Ration + Salmonella Sp 0.4 ml Infection). The results showed the
average feed consumption of P0 (90.34±2.41), P1 (84.33±2.81), P2 (90.02±1.55),
P3 (88.22±3.08), P4 (87.14±4.84) (gr/head). The average body weight gain was
P0 (57.00±2.20), P1 (53.09±0.42), P2 (57.19±2.67), P3 (57.97±2.03), P4
(60.61±0.72) (gr/head). The average feed conversion was P0 (1.58±0.02), P1
(1.60±0.04), P2 (1.57±0.04), P3 (1.52±0.04), P4 (1.43±0.07) (gr/head). The
results of the analysis showed that the provision of binahong leaf flour (Anredera
Cordifolia (Ten.) Steenis) as much as 15 gr/kg ration had a significant effect in
increasing can increase the weight of the animals. | en_US |
