Analisis Faktor-Faktor Penurunan Populasi Ternak Kerbau di Kecamatan Padang Bolak Julu

Abstract

This research was conducted at people’s community farms in Padang Bolak Julu district. This research aims to determine the factors that influence the rate of decline in the buffalo population so that the factor cause the decline in the population of buffalo is known. The method used is multiple linear regression analysis with economic, social, low birth rates and livestock disease. This research was conducted by giving questionnaires to the respondents, there total of respondents was 11 breeders, namely all buffalo breeders in padang bolak julu district and related agencies. The result of this research show that economic factofs, social factors, disease factors in livestock and low birth rates factors have a very real influence on the decline in the buffalo population in Padang Bolak Julu sub-district, with a social factos coefficient value of 0.02, an economic factos of 1.14, a low birth rate factor of 0.65 and a disease factors of 0.19. the avarange Padang Bolak Julu community uses buffalo for savings and also for traditional events such a wedding and death ceremonies. Buffalo livestock are kept using an extensive maintenance system. Buffalo livestock have a very low birth rate. A disease that attacks buffalo causes a decline in buffalo population in the Padang Bolak Julu sub-district.
