dc.description.abstractIntroduction. Complementary food is food given to babies aged 6-24 months to meet nutritional needs other than breast milk. However, mothers' low knowledge about giving complementary foods results in inadequate nutritional needs for babies and can disrupt the baby's growth and development process. Objective. To determine the relationship between maternal knowledge in providing MPASI and the nutritional status of children in Pekan Bahorok Village. Method. This research uses observational analytical research, with a cross-sectional approach. The research sample was mothers who had children aged 6-24 months in Pekan Bahorok Village. The method used was an interview using a questionnaire with data collection techniques using Total Sampling and measuring body weight and body length. Results. This research shows that the majority of mothers have good knowledge about providing complementary breast milk, 54.1%, and the majority of babies have good nutritional status, 60.8%. Based on the Chi-Square Test, the p value = 0.042 < 0.05. Conclusion. There is a significant relationship between mothers' knowledge in providing MP ASI and the nutritional status of children in Pekan Bahorok Village in 2023.en_US
