Karakteristik Pasien Post Operasi Bedah Saraf yang Dirawat di ICU RSUP H. Adam Malik Periode Januari-Desember 2022

Abstract

Background. Neurosurgery is a surgery that consists a very broad and important in medicinal aspect. Post-neurosurgery patients need to be observed in ICU ward because of some indications. This research is done to provide data about the characteristics of the patients that did neurosurgery and treated in ICU in 2022. Aim. This research is to find out the characteristics of the post-neurosurgery patients that were treated in RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan ICU with the period from January-December 2022. Method. This research is a descriptive research with retrospective design. This research uses secondary data from RSUP H. Adam Malik medical records. This research use a total sampling method to obtain the amount sample which is 81 patients. Result. Among 81 patients, most patients were on the middle aged group (age 48 – 79) which were 38 patients (46.9%), majority patients were female which consists of 43 patients (53.1%), most occupation was private officer which are 18 patients (22.2%), the most diagnosis of illness that was identified were the brain tumor which were 42 patients (51.9%), the most common surgical procedure was craniotomy which were 38 patients (46.9%) the most length of stay in ICU was from 4 to 7 days which were 25 patients (30.9%), and the most outcomes after the patients were discharged from ICU were on survived contidion which were 39 patients (72.8%). Conclusion. Post-neurosurgery patients that were treated in ICU mostly were female, with age group from 48 to 79 years old, and were diagnosed with brain tumor.
