dc.description.abstract | Modification is a change or planning form intended to get better results or improve the quality of the tool. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of modifying the blade and adding a sieve to the cassava chopper and testing the tool. This research uses a different test. The modifications made in this study are changes in the shape of the hammer blade and the number of blades from 9 blades to 24 blades. In the tool, a sieve with a hole size of 18 mesh is added. The parameters studied were the effective capacity of the tool, fuel consumption, percentage of material left behind, percentage of chopped material, percentage of material not chopped, percentage of material lost. The effective capacity of the tool after modification obtained an average of 190.67 kg/hour, the fuel consumption obtained in the tool after modification is an average of 0.58 l/hour, the percentage of material left after modification obtained an average of 31.2 %, the percentage of chopped material after modification obtained an average of 61.68 %, and the percentage of material that was not chopped after modification obtained an average of 1.24 % and the percentage of material lost after modification obtained an average of 5.8 %. | en_US |
