The postpartum period is a time of recovery, starting from the moment the baby is born and the placenta is expelled from the uterus until six weeks after, accompanied by the healing of organs that have undergone physical and psychological changes, such as the breasts, uterine involution, lactation/breast milk production, and changes in the mother's body system. During the postpartum period, an individual will experience physiological and psychological changes such as discomfort throughout the body, stress, and excessive worry that can affect the smoothness of breastfeeding production, which is influenced by prolactin and oxytocin hormones. The main nursing problem that can arise in postpartum clients is ineffective breastfeeding. There are two approaches that can be taken to promote breast milk production: pharmacological (medication therapy) and non-pharmacological. One of the non-pharmacological therapies is providing oxytocin massage therapy. Oxytocin massage is a massage along the spine (vertebrae) to the fifth or sixth rib, which aims to increase oxytocin so that breast milk can be released and flow smoothly. The purpose of this senior practicum is to provide nursing care to postpartum mothers to facilitate breastfeeding production by providing oxytocin massage techniques to postpartum clients. The results obtained from this senior practicum show that providing oxytocin massage to postpartum mothers has an impact on the smoothness of breast milk production.en_US
