Pengelolaan Asuhan Keperawatan dengan Penerapan Terapi Audio Visual pada Anak Usia Sekolah untuk Mengurangi Stress di Panti Asuhan Pembangun Didikan Islam Medan

Abstract

Stress is a term that describes a process that begins with an event that evokes a level of tension or anxiety. Children aged 10 to 12 years are vulnerable to stress, when their developmental tasks are hindered or hampered in carrying them out due to a condition. Audiovisual therapy is one of the distraction therapies with a method of providing stimulation in the form of audio (sound) and visual (image) which aims to be a distraction or divert someone's attention by giving a show that is liked so that it is useful to move attention to children so that stress levels decrease. The purpose of this senior practicum is to carry out nursing care by applying audio visual therapy to school-age children to reduce stress. This audio visual therapy was carried out on 5 school-age children aged 9 to 12 years and was carried out on 12 July-19 July 2023 at the Medan Islamic Education Development Development Orphanage. The media used is a short cartoon film. The evaluation results found that this audio visual therapy can help children to reduce stress.
