Pengelolaan Asuhan Keperawatan pada Ibu Menopause dengan Gangguan Pola Tidur di Wilayah Kecamatan Medan Perjuangan

Abstract

Menopause is a transitional phase from a reproductive period to a non-reproductive period which is marked by the cessation of menstruation for at least 1 year Menopause causes physical and psychological changes that disrupt basic human needs. Signs and symptoms that are often experienced by menopausal women are sleep pattern disturbances. The purpose of this senior practicum is to apply nursing theories and concepts, especially in managing and providing nursing care to postmenopausal women. Nursing care was carried out on June 5-July 28 2023 to three menopausal women by providing health education and several techniques to deal with symptoms experienced during menopause such as teaching acupressure techniques to treat sleep pattern disturbances and deep breathing relaxation techniques to treat back pain. The results obtained after carrying out nursing care for menopausal mothers can overcome the complaints felt by practicing acupressure techniques to improve sleep quality. After nursing interventions, menopausal women's sleep patterns are getting better. It is hoped that menopausal women can deal with menopause complaints independently as taught to the author
