dc.description.abstract | Rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune chronic inflammatory disorder or autoimmune response. in which a person's immune system can be disrupted and decreased causing destruction of the joint organs and synovial lining, especially in the hands, feet and knees. The cause of this disease is not known with certainty, but based on a general explanation, this disease is a chronic systemic autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in the connective tissue, especially in the joints. In Indonesia itself, based on Riskesdas, (2018) states that joint disease has a prevalence of 7.303% with a total number of cases of 713,783 sufferers. Meanwhile, North Sumatra itself has a prevalence of 5.35% with a total number of cases of 36.410 sufferers. This joint disease often occurs in the elderly age group, which is dominated by age 75 years with a prevalence of 18,95% in 17,822 cases of sufferers. Whereas in the city of Medan, with the largest population in the Province of North Sumatra, the population of the city of Medan is approximately 2,121,053 residents, with 35,7% of them being elderly in the city of Medan. The case of rheumatoid arthritis in the elderly is a disease with a percentage of 30% of the 35,7% of the elderly population in Medan City. The purpose of this study was to provide an overview of nursing care to meet nutritional needs in gastritis patients, this study used a descriptive case study method. The design used is a case study in the form of a comprehensive Nursing Care approach. The subjects of this case study were 5 patients. The results of the study showed that all five patients had rheumatoid arthritis with priority pain being the main complaint. It is hoped that this research can serve as a guideline for readers to be able to know as early as possible about the importance of health and the importance of managing non-pharmacological therapies to treat pain, especially rheumatoid arthritis pain. | en_US |
