Kawasan Industri Medan (KIM) Tahap I menggunakan High Volume Air Sampler (HVAS)
Musim Mas
adalah 305,5 μg/Nm3 ; 66,04 μg/Nm3 ; 382 μg/Nm3. Pengkarakterisasian logam berat pada
penelitian ini menggunakan Inductively Couple Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (ICPAES).
Logam berat yang terdeteksi yaitu Perak (Ag), Aluminium (Al), Arsen (As), Boron (B),
Barium (Ba), Kalsium (Ca), Kadmium (Cd), Kobal (Co), Kromium (Cr), Tembaga (Cu), Besi
(Fe), Merkuri (Hg), Kalium (K), Lantarum (La), Magnesium (Mg), Mangan (Mn), Natrium (Na),
PM10 ambien di KIM Tahap I. Particulate Matter 10 Micron (PM10) is one of the parameters of air pollutants, and the concentration of PM10 in ambient air has been regulated on the government’s regulation. Determination of the characteristics of heavy metals in PM10 can help to find out the type of heavy metal contained in the PM10. Industrial estate is an area where industrial activities are concentrated which are equipped with supporting facilities and infrastructure developed and managed by industrial area companies. Based on the results of research conducted in the Medan Industrial Estate (KIM) Phase I using High Volume Air Sampler (HVAS) with gravimetric method the PM10 concentration in 24-hour sampling at each sampling point, namely in front of PT. Soci, Gang Mahmud, and in front of PT. Musim Mas is 305.5 ug / Nm3; 66.04 ug / Nm3; 382 pg / Nm3. Characterization of heavy metals in this research uses Inductively Couple Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-AES). Detected heavy metals are Silver (Ag), Aluminum (Al), Arsenic (As), Boron (B), Ban'um (Ba), Calcium (Ca), Cadmium (Cd), Cobal (Co), Chromium (Cr ), Copper (Cu), Iron (Fe), Mercury (Hg), Potassium (K), Lantarum (La), Magnesium (Mg), Manganese (Mn), Sodium (Na), Nickel (Ni), Lead (Pb ), Selenium (Se), Tin (Sn), Stronium (Sr), and Zinc (Zn), with the highest concentration of heavy metals is Al and the lowest concentration of heavy metals is Cr. Based on the correlation test between pollutant sources and metal content in KIM Phase I, the correlation between heavy metals Hg and the number of vehicles was strongly positive (r = 0,624). Meanwhile, the correlation between heavy metals As, Cd, Cr, Hg, and Pb with industry has a strong positive correlation (r = 0,858 – 0,92). From the result of the corellation between industry shows that the presence of industry influences the heavy metal content in PM10 ambient at KIM Phase I.
