Analisis Kohesi Gramatikal dalam Surah Ar-Ra’ad

Abstract

This research examines the grammatical cohesion contained in Surah Ar-Ra'ad. The purpose of this research is identify amount of grammatical cohesion contained in Surah Ar-Ra'ad. The research method that used is literature study by using surah Ar-Ra‟ad as the data source. The data was collected by using the listening and note taking technique, and also the analyze descriptive methode, analyze them by using grammatical cohesion theory by Mulyana. The result of this research show that there are grammatical cohesion contained in surah Ar-Ra‟ad. Personal pronouns totaling 199 (one hundred and ninety nine) words, demonstrative pronouns totaling 6 (six) words, comparative pronouns totaling 6 (six) words, substitutions totaling 5 (five) words, ellipsis totaling 66 (sixteen) and conjunctions a total of 228 (two hundred and twenty eight) words. In this research, it can be concluded that in surah Ar-Ra'ad there is varied grammatical cohesion and is dominated by conjunctions. The use of meaningful conjunction as a link between words with words, sentences with sentences, pharases with pharases, clauses with clauses in discourse, and the second rank is personal pronouns which are meaningful as personal pronouns
