Budaya Patriarki dalam Relasi Laki-Laki dan Perempuan pada Novel Mużakkirātu ṭabībatin ta`līfu Nawāl As-Sa`dāwī / Memoar Seorang Dokter Perempuan Karya Nawal El Saadawi (Kajian Antropologi Sastra)
Abstract
This research discusses the patriarchy culture in the relationship between men and women in the novel /Mużakkirātu ṭabībatin ta`līfu nawāl as- sa'dāwī / Memoirs of a Woman Doctor by Nawal el Saadawi. This research aims to find out the patriarchy culture in the relationship between men and women in the novel /Mużakkirātu ṭabībatin ta`līfu nawāl as- sa'dāwī /Memoirs of a Woman Doctor by Nawal el using the theory of patriarchy relations by Walby through a literary anthropology approach according to Ratna and gender theory according to Fakih. This research is a library research. Data was collected through the observation method using note-taking techniques (Mahsun) and using descriptive analysis methods. The results of this research show that 22 patriarchy cultures were found in the relations between men and women. The patriarchy culture found was 15 patriarchy relations in the family, no patriarchy relations were found in work, 1 patriarchy relation in the state, 3 male violence against women, 1 patriarchy relation in sexuality and 2 patriarchy relations in social culture. The conclusion of this research shows the patriarchy culture in the novel is a reflection of society in Egypt, which reinforces the dominance attitude of men towards their influential role in society live.
