Asuhan Keperawatan pada An. S dengan Demam Typhoid di Ruang Kenari Rumah Sakit Pendidikan Prof. Dr. Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis Universitas Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Typhoid fever is a disease caused by the bacterium Salmonella typhi or Salmonella typhosa of the genus Salmonella which attacks the digestive tract, especially the small intestine. In the case of child S, the patient said he had a fever > 1 week, before being taken to the hospital the patient had diarrhea more than 4 times in one day with the consistency of a little dregs, mucus and no blood spots, decreased appetite and experienced nausea and vomiting. Diagnosed with Deficit Nutrition b/d psychological d/d decreased body weight due to nausea and decreased appetite, Ineffective Thermoregulation b/d Disease process (risk of infection) d/d fluctuating body temperature and paleness, Activity Intolerance b/d Weakness d/d inability to carry out activities independently due to weakness. The nursing care provided is Nutrition Management, Temperature Regulation and Activity Therapy. The evaluation that was obtained after nursing care was carried out, namely that the Nutrition Deficit had been resolved but the BMI was still below normal, Thermoregulation and activity intolerance had been resolved.
