Nursing Care Management for Hyperemesis in Pregnant Women (1st Trimester) With Nutrition Imbalance Risk Disorders in Pasar Terandam Village, Barus District
Abstract
Nausea and vomiting are the most common disturbances in the first trimester of pregnancy, which is from week 1 to week 12 during pregnancy. Nausea and vomiting is often overlooked as a normal consequence in early pregnancy without acknowledging the devastating impact it can have on women and their families. Continuous Emesis Gravidarum conditions can result in Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Hyperemesis Gravidarum is defined as the occurrence of nausea and vomiting resulting in weight loss of more than 5%, abnormal fluid and nutritional intake, electrolyte imbalance, dehydration, ketonuria and has consequences that are detrimental to the fetus. The purpose of this senior practicum is to provide hyperemic nursing care for pregnant women (1st trimester) in Pasar Terandam Village, Barus District. This study used 3 managed patients with Hyperemesis Gravidarum in early pregnancy and were given nursing care in the form of health education and maternal diet during pregnancy.
