Abstract
Angina pectoris is the term used to describe chest pain or discomfort caused by coronary artery disease. Patients may describe sensations as pressure, fullness, squeezing, heaviness, or pain. It requires the existence of a treatment technique to reduce pain. Nurses using their knowledge can deal with pain problems both independently and collaboratively using two approaches, namely the pharmacological approach and the non-pharmacological approach. One of them is a non-pharmacological approach, namely by doing a foot massage relaxation technique. The purpose of this senior practitioner is to carry out nursing care by performing foot massage relaxation techniques to reduce the pain intensity of angina pectoris patients. The location of the practice at the Mahoni-Meranti Room, Rumah Sakit Pendidikan Prof.Chairuddin Panusunan Lubis Universitas Sumatera Utara. This foot massage relaxation technique was given to 3 patients and implemented for 3 days. Reflexology technique is a method of treatment that provides a touch of massage to locations and places that have been mapped according to the therapeutic zone. After the foot massage relaxation technique was carried out, the result was that the pain intensity scale in the patient could be reduced thereby accelerating the healing process and creating a sense of comfort.
