Situs Budaya Pulau Sibandang di Kecamatanmuara: Kajian Budaya Pariwisata

Abstract

This thesis is entitled Sibandang Island Cultural Site in Muara District: Tourism Cultural Study. This thesis research aims to find out what cultural sites are on Sibandang Island, Muara District, what cultural values are found on Sibandang Island cultural sites, and also the use or influence of cultural sites on Sibandang Island on tourism. The method used is descriptive analysis method. used are primary data and secondary data. The data analysis methods used are data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. The theory used in this thesis is the cultural theory put forward by J.J Hoenigman, then the commodification theory. Culture is a system of ideas, feelings, actions and works produced by humans in their social life. Commodification becomes a tool in preserving, maintaining, preserving and developing culture into something that has economic value and can be bought and sold. The results obtained from this thesis, after conducting research, found (3) cultural sites on Sibandang Island, namely Jabu Partungkoan Ompung sorta Uluan, Batu Kursi, Fort Royal and the cultural values contained in each existing site, as well as the use of cultural sites as cultural tourism objects that produce commodification in the form of tour packages, souvenirs and annual festivals.
