Fracture is the breaking off the continuity of hone tissue caused by trauma. Pain is an unpleasant sensoric experience which changes a person's lifestyle and prosperity. The objective of the research is to examine effects of back massage. effleurage, on the intensity of acute pain in the post-long bone fracture surgery The research used quantitative method with quasi-experiment and non-quivalent control pretest posttest group design. The data are gathered by using VAS questionnaire and analyzed by using Mann-Whitney Utest and Pearson's chi-square test. ANOVA. The resuit of the research shows that there is significant difference between NSAID group and effleuruge. The runge of VAS change in NSAID group and effleurage tend to be higher than that in NSAID in the 3rd day and in 4th day. conclusion is that NSAID and effleurage are more effective in decreasing acute pain intensity in the post long hone fracture surgery. It is recommended that they be used as one of the interventions in decreasing pain intensity in fracture patients.en_US
