Introduction. Malnutrition and worm infestations persist as issues affecting the nutritional status of many children due to inadequate nutrient intake during the first 1000 days of life. This is influenced by various factors, one of which is the level of parental knowledge. Objective. The study aimed to determine the difference in parental knowledge levels regarding nutrition and worm infestations based on the nutritional status of children at TK Negeri Pembina 1 Medan. Subjects and Methods. This cross-sectional research employed an analytic survey design. The study population comprised children attending TK Negeri Pembina 1 Medan, with a sample of 81 individuals selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through a questionnaire instrument measuring knowledge levels about nutrition and worm infestations, as well as anthropometric measurements using scales and a microtoise. Results. The research findings from 81 respondents revealed that 75 individuals had a high level of nutritional knowledge, 41 had a high level of knowledge about worm infestations, 75 children had good height, 6 had insufficient height, 41 had good nutrition, 15 had excess nutrition, and 25 had insufficient nutrition. Bivariate analysis of nutritional knowledge indicated p = 0.380 for the TB/U status and p = 0.389 for the BB/TB status. For worm infestation knowledge, p = 0.855 was found for TB/U status and 0.939 for BB/TB status. Conclusion. There is no difference in parental knowledge about nutrition and worm infestations among the group with insufficient height compared to those with good height, as well as among the groups with insufficient, normal, and excess nutrition.en_US
