Ḥarfu Al-Wāwi/ dalam Surah Yunus (Analisis Sintaksis)

Abstract

This research discusses the ḥarfu wāw in Surah Yunus. The purpose is to find out the type, position and meaning of ḥarfu wāw in Surah Yunus by using the syntactic theory proposed by Ghulayaini. This research is a library research that uses descriptive analysis method by collecting data through listening method and note-taking technique.The results showed that 162 ḥarfu wāw were found. The type of wāw `āmilah, 110 were found, namely 109 wāw `aṭaf and 1 wāw qasam. While from the type of wāw `āṭilah, 52 were found, namely 40 wāw isti'nāfiyyah and 12 wāw ḥāliyyah. Wāw as `aṭaf means combining ma`ṭūf with ma`ṭūf `alaih in terms of law and i`rāb. Wāw as isti'nāf means the beginning of a perfect sentence. Wāw as ḥāl means rabit (connector) which explains the state of sāhibul ḥāl with ḥāl. Wāw as qasam has the meaning of adatul qasam. The conclusion obtained from this study is that the dominant type of ḥarfu wāw is wāw `aṭaf because there are many wāw `aṭaf that combine isim with isim, fi`il with fi`il, jumlah with jumlah and syibhul jumlah with syibhul jumlah in surah Yunus.
