The Struggle of Main Characters’ in The Fallout Movie: An Intrinsic Analysis

Abstract

This research aims to describe and find out the theme of The Fallout movie which had its premiere on 2021 at South by Southwest, and was released on 2022. In conducting this research, researcher used a qualitative descriptive method which represents all data in the form of scenes, and dialogue. The researcher focuses on the analysis of theme based on intrinsic theory by Stanton. The data is taken in the form of scenes, and dialogues of the movie. This theory explains that the theme in a literary work is obtained from looking at other elements in a literary work such as plot, character, setting, and point of view. Researcher collected data from various sources including The Fallout movie, relevant books, articles, journals, and the internet to support the analysis. From the analysis carried out, the researcher concluded that the main theme of The Fallout movie is about the struggle of main characters’ life after experiencing a school shooting incident. This can be seen through the plot, character, and setting in The Fallout movie.
