Background: Children's health is an important national development indicator. The
MCH book, a government effort to improve maternal and child health, detects early
health problems and serves as a communication and counseling tool with important
information. Aim: determine the relationship between MCH book utilization and
mother knowledge about children's health, including children's growth and
development. Methods: This analytical cross-sectional study used a nonprobability
purposive sampling technique. Data collection used a validated and
reliable questionnaire completed by respondents. Results: From 144 samples, data
on MCH book use and maternal knowledge of children's health were presented as
a frequency distribution. MCH book use and maternal knowledge of children's
health. Maternal and child health book utilization was good (60.4%) and poor
(39.6%). Maternal knowledge of children's health was good (36.1%), sufficient
(43.8%), and poor (20.1%). MCH book use and maternal knowledge of children's
health are statistically significantly related (p = 0.001). Conclusion: Maternal and
child health book use and maternal knowledge of children's health are significant
related.
