Eksistensi Sudako (Sarana Umum Dalam Kota) Sebagai Pengangkutan Umum di Kota Medan Tahun 1970 – 2016

Abstract

This research is about the existence of Sudako (public facilities in the city) as public transportation in the city of Medan. The aim of this thesis research is to explain the early history of Sudako's operations in Medan City in 1970-2016, the development of Sudako in Medan City in 1970-2016 and the existence of Sudako as public transportation in Medan City in 1970-2016. The methods used in writing this thesis are heuristics (data collection), critical verification (authenticity of data), interpretation (study of sources), and historiography (historical writing). In collecting data, this research uses library study and field study methods. The library uses literature in the form of books in the University of North Sumatra library. In the field study, the author carried out site observations and interviews with resource persons. The results of this research show that Sudako has been operating since 1970. Since its inception, Sudako has attracted the attention of the people of Medan. Until 2016 was the year when Sudako began to be rarely seen on the streets of Medan City.
