Teknik Penerjemahan Peristiwa Tutur Bertengkar Film IP Man 4

Abstract

This research aims to find out what translation techniques are used by translators to translate speech acts in speech events and describe their impact on changes in the translation of speech acts in the film Ip Man 4. The data in this research are sentences that represent speech acts in speech events in meetings. Indonesian subtitles in the film Ip Man 4 and also the translation techniques used by the translator to translate these speech acts. Data was obtained through analysis of film translator texts. The research results showed that translators used 13 translation techniques including modulation techniques (25), literal (23), compensation (20), amplification (18), linguistic compression (8), adaptation (7), transposition (6), reduction (4), borrowing (3), variation (3), substitution (2), generalization (2), calce (1).
