Gambaran Tingkat Pengetahuan, Sikap dan Perilaku Siswa-Siswi SMA Negeri 1 Aek Natas tentang Jenis-Jenis Infeksi Menular Seksual

Abstract

Background: Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, parasites, or fungi and are transmitted through sexual intercourse. More than 1 million people contract STIs every day. The increasing incidence of STIs is inseparable from its association with high-risk behavior, which is behavior that puts a person at high risk of STI disease. This includes men aged 20-34 years, women aged 16-24 years, men and women aged 20-24 years. Objective: To determine the description of knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of SMA Negeri 1 Aek Natas students about the types of Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). Methods: This study was conducted using chi-square cross-sectional research design and analytic descriptive research design. The sampling technique in this study used stratified random sampling method. Results: The results of the description of knowledge in the good category as many as 12 people (4.3%), enough as many as 149 people (54%), and less as many as 115 people (41.7%). The description of attitudes with good categories as many as 174 people (63%), enough as many as 96 people (34.8%), and less than 6 people (2.2%). The description of behavior in the good category was 147 people (53.3%), 89 people (32.2%), and 40 people (14.5%). The results of the analysis using chi-square showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and attitude (p = 0.000), there was a relationship between knowledge and behavior (p = 0.000). There is a relationship between knowledge and behavior (p=0.013), and there was a relationship between attitude and behavior (p=0.043) Conclusion: The level of knowledge of SMA Negeri 1 Aek Natas students about the types of STIs is in the sufficient category, attitudes and behaviors are in the good category.
