    Abstract
Background. The overwhelming burden to health facility and health care workers during the delta variant wave in the COVID-19 pandemic has greatly expanded the Telemedisin services in Indonesia. The Rawat-Covid Sumut Telemedisin was developed by Universitas Sumatera Utara to provide services to COVID-19 confirmed patients living in Medan City, North Sumatra, Indonesia, who needed to undergo self-isolation at home. Free medical consultation, free medicines, and referral services were provided to patients using the platform while preventing direct physical contact during the isolation period. Objectives. We aimed to determine the demographics data, vaccination status, clinical information, household conditions, prior medication used, and COVID-19 severity among patients using the Rawat Covid Sumut Telemedisin in the Omicron wave period in Medan, Indonesia. Methods. This is a descriptive quantitative study using the medical records from the Telemedisin Rawat Covid Sumut. Patients admitted in the surge period of Omicron wave from 26 February to 30 April 2022, living in Medan City and confirmed for COVID-19 by PCR or antigen test were enrolled to the study. Descriptions on their demographics, clinical information and housing conditions will be presented. Results. The majority of patient in the age group of 18-39 years (68.3%) are dominated by women (61.5%)., 95.1% of patients have been vaccinated. The most common comorbidity was hypertension (9.3%). The most common symptom was cough (86.3%), most patients had mild symptoms (93.5%). About 55.4% of patients took medication. As many as 80.9% of patients already have a private bathroom. Conclusions. The availability of Telemedisin has improved the delivery of health services to the community during the COVID-19 surge in Medan, Indonesia. Data obtained from the participants can be used to understand the individual conditions and household readiness for self-isolation during a pandemic, and can better prepare the health system for future outbreaks.
