Hubungan antara Nyeri Punggung Bawah (Low Back Pain) dengan Status Fungsional dan Kualitas Hidup pada Ibu Hamil Trimester II dan III di Puskesmas Padang Bulan Tahun 2023

Abstract

Background . Pregnancy can cause physiological changes on a woman's body. The most common changes during pregnancy are changes in the musculoskeletal system. In pregnancy, there is a change in posture due to a shift in the center of gravity due to the growth of the fetus, this change in the posture can cause tension in the lower back causing discomfort in the form of low back pain or LBP on pregnancy and will worsen with the development of pregnancies especially in the second and third trimesters. Objective. The purpose of this study to k now the corrrelation between low back pain and functional status and quality of life in pregnant women in trimester II and III at the Puskesmas Padang Bulan. Methods. The research was done using a decriptive method with a cross sectional design. The data was obtained using VAS, ODI, and SF 36 questionnaires given to pregnant women of trimester II and III in the Puskesmas Padang Bulan The analysis used was univariate an d bivariate analysis with chi square. Results. Out of 83 respondents, 77 respondents met the inclusion criteria s . The results of statistical analysis indicate that there is a relationship between LBP and functional status (p=0.004) as well as quality of li fe in the body pain domain (p =0.001) and emotional limitation (P=0.001). Conclusion. There is a correlation between LBP with functional status and quality of life of the body pain domain and the emotional limitation of pregnant wome n in the second and th ird trimesters.
