Introduction. Uterine myoma is a benign neoplasm that develops from connective
tissue and smooth muscle in the uterus. Studies have shown that myomas are more
common in women of reproductive age and more common in nulliparous women.
Objective. To determine the relationship of age and parity to cases of uterine
myoma. Method. This study is descriptive analytic with a cross sectional approach
using total sampling techniques, and using secondary data derived from medical
records. Samples that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria amounted to 100
samples. Results and Discussion. The distribution in the age group that
experienced uterine myoma was dominated by the age group 41 - 50 years at 43.2%,
in the parity group it was dominated by the multiparous group, which amounted to
45.5%. In the results of statistical tests using chi square found that there was no
relationship between age and uterine myoma (p=0.549) and using the fisher exact
test there was no relationship between parity and uterine myoma (p=0.203).
Conclusion. The most dominant age group is the age in range of 41 - 50 years, the
most dominant parity group is the multiparous group, and there is no relationship
between age and parity with uterine myoma at Prof. dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis
