Faktor Risiko Penyakit Jantung Koroner yang Sering Dijumpai pada Pasien Rawat Inap Jantung di Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat Haji Adam Malik Medan Tahun 2021-2022
Abstract
Introduction. Cardiovascular disease is a disease that affects the cardiovascular
system including the heart, arteries, veins, and capillaries. With coronary artery
disease (CAD), coronary blood flow may not be able to keep pace with rising oxygen
needs, which can lead to ischemia and myocardial infarction. This refers to
pathological modification within the coronary artery walls that diminish blood flow
through the vessels. If not treated properly, CAD can cause functional impairment to
death. Objective. Knowing the risk factors for coronary heart disease that are
commonly found in hospitalized patients and to determine the risk factors for
cardiovascular disease that are often found in hospitalized patients. Methods. This type
of research uses retrospective descriptive designs. Results and Discussion. Based on
the results of secondary data frequency descriptions, cardiovascular patients were
predominantly ≥65 years of age due to reduced physiological function of the body,
males due to lifestyle and hormonal influences, not working due to decreased physical
activity, suffering from hypertension due to LDL oxidation induction, diabetes mellitus
due to complications, non-obesity, and active/passive smokers due to accumulation of
carcinogenic substances. Conclusion. Cardiovascular patients are influenced by age,
gender, occupation, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, obesity, and smoking.
