Background. Congenital heart disease is a congenital heart wall defect that allows the existence of shunts and connections between blood vessels and heart chambers that are not found in physiological conditions. These shunts and abnormal connections between the heart chambers can cause various conditions that disrupt the balance of tissue oxygen perfusion or cause increased blood flow through the heart structure, causing fluid buildup and increased pressure in the pulmonary blood vessels, which is often called pulmonary arterial hypertension. This study aims to examine the relationship between pulmonary hypertension (PH) in patients with acyanotic congenital heart disease at the Haji Adam Malik Central General Hospital, Medan.Method. This research is a cross sectional study that reviews child patients with congenital heart disease at the Haji Adam Malik Central General Hospital in the period June 2022 - December 2022. These child patients were identified with basic data and the congenital heart disease they experienced, as well as the incidence and degree Pulmonary hypertension is described by the peak pressure gradient of tricuspid regurgitation.Results.There were 120 samples that were successfully obtained, with the largest lesion size being medium lesions with 41 cases (34.2%). There were a total of 21 cases of congenital heart disease with pulmonary hypertension (17.5%). There is a significant relationship between the size of the VSD lesion and the incidence of PH (P=0.010) and there is a significant relationship between the size of the VSD lesion and the degree of PH (P=0.002), there is a significant relationship between the size of the ASD lesion and the incidence of PH (P=0.012) and there is no There was a significant relationship between the size of the ASD lesion and the degree of PH (P=0.073) and there was no significant relationship between the size of the PDA lesion and the incidence of PH or the size of the PDA and the degree of PH (P=0.117).Conclusion.There was a significant relationship between the size of the defect and the incidence of PH in ASD and VSD defects.en_US
