    Abstract
There are two techniques in the adhesive system for dentin, namely dry and wet bonding techniques. The success of the bonding material is influenced by the composition, especially the type of solvent such as water, ethanol and acetone. The aim of this research is to determine the influence and differences between dry and wet bonding techniques on the shear bond strength of nanohybrid composite resin using ethanol water and acetone solvents. This type of research is an experimental study using 24 samples of caries-free maxillary premolars. The teeth were soaked in normal saline solution until treated. Teeth were prepared with class V cavities. Samples were divided into 4 groups. Testing was carried out using a Universal Testing Machine. The research data were analyzed using the one way ANOV A statistical test. The results of the research from the 4 groups showed a significant difference in mean shear bond strength, namely p=0.000 (p<0.05). It can be concluded that the shear bond strength of dentin is the highest with an average of group D with a mean of 53,365 MPa and followed by group C with a mean of 43,417 MPa, group A with a mean of 34, 218 MPa and group B with a mean of 25,058 MPa. The conclusion of this research is that the use of a wet bonding technique using acetone solvent for nanohybrid composite resin has the highest shear bond strength in dentin, while the use of a dry bonding technique with acetone solvent has the lowest shear strength and is not recommended in bonding systems.
