The assessment of pharyngeal airway dimensions in skeletal malocclusions is important in making orthodontic diagnoses and treatment plans. The purpose of this study was to determine the mean and differences in pharyngeal airway dimensions on male dan female with skeletal class I and II malocclusions based on the cervical vertebrae maturation during the prepubertal, pubertal, and postpubertal periods. This type of research is an analytic descriptive study with a cross-sectional design. This study used 96 lateral cephalograms of patients aged 8-19 years with skeletal malocclusion class I and II. In this study, skeletal malocclusion types were measured using the ANB angle and pharyngeal airway dimensions were measured using the ImageJ application. The results of the T-independent test showed a significant difference in pharyngeal airway dimensions between skeletal class I and II malocclusion in the prepubertal period. Significant differences were also found in pharyngeal airway dimensions between males and females in the prepubertal and postpubertal period. ANOVA test results found significant differences between prepubertal, pubertal, and postpubertal periods in pharyngeal airway dimensions in skeletal class I and II malocclusions. The growth of pharyngeal airway dimensions is influenced by the cervical vertebrae maturation where skeletal classes I and II have different growth patternsen_US
