Tooth extraction is a minor surgical procedure performed by a dentist to remove a tooth from the socket. The tooth extraction procedure itself can result in wounds in the socket, where most wounds can heal well but not infrequently they can experience complications which will slow down the healing process. In the wound healing process, proteins are needed that can accelerate wound healing, one of which is albumin. Snakehead fish contain the highest albumin compared to other fish. Albumin protein contains natural collagen which forms the extracellular matrix which plays a role in inducing growth factors, cell migration and adhesion, as well as tissue regeneration. The aim of this research was to see the effect of oral snakehead fish extract at a dose of 50 mg/kg by weight and 100 mg/kg by weight on the proliferation of osteoblast cells in healing socket wounds after tooth extraction. This research was a laboratory experimental study with 30 wistar rats as research samples and divided into 3 groups. The treatment group was given snakehead fish extract orally at a dose of 50 mg/kg by weight and 100 mg/kg by weight and the negative control group was only given placebo and then tested using Hematoxylin Eosin (HE) to observe osteoblast cells on the 14th and 28th day. Based on the results of the t-Independent test, it shows that snakehead fish extract at a dose of 50 mg/kg by weight and 100 mg/kg by weight has an effective influence on osteoblast cell proliferation in healing socket wounds after tooth extractionen_US
