    Abstract
Background: Evidence of the growth of other pathogens in Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) through several studies is limited and the resulting impact is still not fully understood.. Methods: Analytical research using data on the medical records of patients diagnosed as COVID-19 patients who were treated at H.Adam Malik Medan Hospital in the time period from June 2020 to September 2021. The test used to analyze the relationship between the independent and dependent variables was the Chi Square test. The data analyzed included patient demographic profiles, severity, comorbidities, growth of other pathogens, history of antibiotic use, vaccination history and history of ventilator use. Results: In the COVID-19 patients studied (n=100), age >45 years (OR 6.468; 95% CI; p=0.008), severe/critical degree (OR 40.533; 95% CI 8.503-193.227; p=<0.001), comorbidities (OR 18.537; 95% CI; p=<0.001), vaccination history (OR 0.326; 95% CI; p=0.016) were found to be associated with mortality in COVID-19 patients. Conclusion: Age, COVID-19 severity, comorbidities and vaccination history were found to be more associated with treatment outcomes than the presence of other pathogenic infections.
