dc.description.abstractSatisfaction is the level of a person's feelings after comparing the desired expectations with the results he receives. This study aims to determine the role of effective communication on student satisfaction in the Secretarial Diploma III Study Program, Faculty of Vocational Studies, University of North Sumatra. This study uses quantitative methods with data collection through questionnaires to students with a total of 51 respondents. The results of the study showed that communication in the Secretarial Diploma III Study Program was effective. However, the level of student satisfaction with the communication has not been categorized as good, because students still feel unsatisfied in terms of empathy and responsiveness from the staff of the Secretarial Diploma III Study Program, Faculty of Vocational Studies, University of North Sumatra.en_US
