Background. Vape (e-cigarette) is a cigarette-like device capable of converting e-liquid (containing flavorings, chemical additives and nicotine) into an aerosol. Vape is a product that is widely used in society, especially among young people and the work environment. Objective. This study was conducted to determine the level of knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatra Utara, Class of 2020 about the dangers of vape use and its relation to lung health Methods. This study used a cross sectional study design through a questionnaire with data collection techniques in the form of consecutive sampling. The sample collected amounted to 170 respondents from the results of the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results. This study found that students of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatra Utara, Class of 2020 had a good level of knowledge with 49.41% of respondents, positive attitudes with 59.41% of respondents, and negative behavior with 62.35% of respondents. Conclusion. There is an inverse correlation between the level of knowledge and attitude towards vape use behavior. Suggestion. Future researchers can conduct special research on factors that influence the level of knowledge, attitudes and behavior of the community about the dangers of using vape.
