Hubungan Kualitas Tidur dengan Aktivitas Fisik pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Sumatera Utara Angkatan 2022
Abstract
Background. Sleep is a basic necessity for everyone. The sleep quality of a person can be influenced by several factors, including environmental conditions, lifestyle, and also physical activity. Physical activity has an important role in maintaining good sleep quality. Objective. This study aims to determine the relationship between sleep quality and physical activity in students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of North Sumatra class of 2022. Methods. This study used observational analytic research with a cross sectional research design. The sample of this study amounted to 80 people with sampling using simple random sampling technique. Data were analyzed using SPSS with the Chi-square statistical test. Results. A total of 61 respondents (76.3%) experienced poor sleep quality. There were 58 respondents (72.5%) who were less active in doing physical activity. The study showed a significant relationship between sleep quality and physical activity with a value of p=0.026 (p<0.05). Conclusion. There is a significant relationship between sleep quality and physical activity in students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of North Sumatra class of 2022.
