Analisis Kadar Besi (Fe) pada Air Minum Isi Ulang dengan Metode Spektrofotometri Serapan Atom yang Beredar di Desa Buntu Bedimbar
Analysis of Iron Content (Fe) in Refill Drinking Water with The Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry Method Circulating in Buntu Bedimbar Village
Abstract
Background: Drinking water is water that goes through the processing or without processing that meets health requirements and can be drunk directly. Refill drinking water was chosen as an alternative to bottled drinking water because the price is cheaper. Drinking water has many benefits for the body, but if the metal content contained exceeds the established standards, it will have a negative impact on the health of the body.
Objective: This study aims to find out whether the level of iron metal content (Fe) in refill drinking water in Buntu Bedimbar Village has met the standards set by the Minister of Health Regulation No. 492 of 2010.
Method: Samples were taken randomly from five refill drinking water depots circulating in Buntu Bedimbar Village. Analysis of iron levels (Fe) is carried out by the atomic absorption spectrophotometry method used in the water chemical laboratory, UPT. Regional Health of North Sumatra Province, Medan.
Results: The results showed that the refill drinking water examined contains iron with levels between 0.3918 – 2,0106 mg/L. The iron content in sample B has crossed the allowable limit according to the Minister of Health Regulation No. 492 of 2010 which is 0.3 mg/l.
Conclusion: Iron content (Fe) in drinking water refill sample B does not meet the requirements of the Minister of Health Regulation Number 492 of 2010.
